Hi, I'm Rama! Thanks for visiting my blog!
I'm the owner of WannaBee Chef, which provides private chef services and teaches kids and adult cooking classes in the Northern New Jersey area. I'm also a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. I'm very proud of the business that I've built, but some of my most gratifying culinary experiences have come from cooking at home for my family.
As a mother of three young children, I understand that the last thing a parent wants to do at the end of a long day is spend it in the kitchen. There's also other things to contend with, like homework, extra-curricular activities, breaking up random fights, etc.! Cooking is work; there's no way around it. But it doesn't have to be a chore. My goal in creating this website is to share some tips on how to make it easier for you to get healthy and delicious food on the table for your family. And hopefully, by approaching it with a sense of adventure, have some fun along the way!
My husband will also feature prominently in this blog. He's a guy who has yet to figure out how to cook rice or operate a grill. We've been married for more than eleven years, so I think this might be a little bit on purpose. (To be fair, he does all the dishes and cleaning up.) For those who feel intimidated by cooking, he's going to make sure that this blog answers all the same questions that you probably have. Besides that, he enjoys photography and writing, so he'll be helping me on that end as well.
Are you ready to "beelicious"?
